AFTERBURN

A high intensity, functional group training program that combines the best of both cardio and strength training to maximise your workout – and achieve serious results. Sessions comprise high-intensity intervals, elevating heart rate to 85%+ of your maximum. Afterburn workouts are different each day and employ intelligent movement training, ensuring your body is strong and functional through everyday 3D movement patterns. Participants train at their own level: whether they’re new to 38X or seasoned Afterburners.

FUNCTIONAL
STRENGTH
TRAINING

The FST program challenges through employing key principles of strength training which should be an integral part of any good fitness plan. Strength Training provides functional benefits including increased bone density, muscle and soft tissue strength. Muscle tissue is like rocket fuel for metabolism, so including regular strength training in your program helps become fitter, leaner and stronger.

Scientific research shows that regular strength training is also beneficial in the race against the clock: regular interval strength training assists in anti-ageing.

YIN YOGA

A slow paced style that holds poses for longer periods of time and is suitable from beginners to advanced. Longer poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues to help restore the body including myofascia to its normal state. The practice cultivates a meditative approach and awareness of breath and relaxation and this restorative activity is important to balance the effects from your other, high intensity training.

BOXING

Using the basics of boxing skills and combinations, you’ll work with partners using pad work and drills to get a solid workout. Fire up your metabolism and fat burn with this high intensity boxing interval based workout. This session offers an increased focus on upper body strength and endurance and is more about fitness than self-defence. Boxing gloves and pads provided, however please bring or purchase from us a pair of cotton inners for hygiene purposes.

METCON

METCON is a supercharged 30-minute session designed to create the ultimate high intensity blast. Life is busy – so when you’re a little short on time this session means you don’t need to miss out on a workout. Metabolic conditioning refers to incorporating strength training with speed and power movements. Metcon workouts are suitable for all fitness levels as the coach ensures that each individual is working to their level of fitness.

FAQS

THE WORKOUTS LOOK HARD WILL I BE ABLE TO KEEP UP

Through the support and careful guidance of our coaches and heart rate tracking technology used, we’re able to adjust each individuals movements and intensity to ensure that all clients are working to their level. A thorough pre-screen is conducted and any injuries are accounted for with alternate movements. The workout is not competitive in terms of keeping up with a number of exercises, reps or speed. It’s progressive in nature and we support you in your training intensity.

 

AM I LOCKED INTO A LONG TERM AGREEMENT?

At 38X Fitness we don’t believe in fixed term agreements, we think it’s important to exceed our clients expectations to keep them training with us, and not through forcing a locked in term period. If your situation changes and you need to stop the training plan, all we ask for is a fortnight notice. This will mean that there will be one final debit after giving notice, which of course during you will have normal access. Any questions on this don’t hesitate to ask.

 

IT SEEMS EXPENSIVE COMPARED TO A REGULAR GYM. WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

At 38X Fitness we’re different than the regular DIY gym, where a member pays their fee however attends on average less than once per week. They have little to no support without paying for a personal trainer. This quickly adds up to 100’s of $$ per week.

We’ve found that our clients get amazing results because they have a personalised plan and clear training goals and support. It feels like having your own trainer however is much more affordable because it’s conducted in small groups. Our most popular plan the Unlimited Plan weekly fee is less than a dinner out for one.

 

DO I NEED TO BOOK IN FOR WORKOUTS?

Yes please. We have a maximum number of spots for each program and booking in ensures that you get the best workout experience possible. You can book in with the 38X Fitness App from the App store or Google Play. You can also book in online through our website.

It’s quick, easy and gives you piece of mind. If you forget to book in and turn up for a session, we’ll of course look after you if spots are available however will ask you to wait till the commencement of session to join the group. If you have any problems booking let us know and we’ll fix it quickly for you.

HOW ABOUT NUTRITION?

The adage you can’t out train a bad nutrition plan rings true. Effective weight loss requires not only regular exercise, it requires sustainable changes to your nutrition habits.
Nutrition isn’t a one size fits all approach, so we offer personally tailored nutrition advice. No fad diets or quick fixes – our team will assist you in guidance in changing your eating habits in the long term. As an added service you can choose the successful GET LEAN program or more private consultations.

 

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

All you really need to bring along is your gym gear including shoes, a sweat towel and water bottle. We have filtered water fountain in the studio or you can purchase water, and healthy protein snacks if needed.
